We celebrated our first annual Hangin’ with the Heroes event June 18th at Mallards Stadium! Though the day was toasty, lots of families turned out for the event presented by Madtown Twisters and Hy-Vee! Families spent the afternoon hanging out with local Madison heroes and fighting evil with Superheroes. Other activities included face painting, balloon twisting, dancing with Madison Jazzercise, zip lining, bounce housing, Superhero Storytime with Madison Public Library, and activities provided by sponsors! After all the pre-game fun, families settled in for the Mallards game!
Madtown Twisters, one of our title sponsors, had a SUPER fun activity circuit for the little ones to enjoy! They could jump, hang, leap and roll- perfect for getting their wiggles out! Madtown Twisters has locations on both the East and West sides and provide fun fitness classes, gymnastics classes, and many Open Gym options!
Hy-Vee, our other co-title sponsors provided some swag for our bags! Hy-Vee offers many services: aisles online, professional catering, dietitians, and great food selections readily available at their stores (our fave!). A helpful smile in every aisle.
Lemonade Workshop had a makers table set up, using upcyced bottle caps to make superhero badges! Check out their website for their upcoming events (art, design and engineering activities for kids!).
i9 Sports had kids playing lawn games and spinning a prize wheel. i9 Sports offers quality youth sports programs (including flag football, soccer, t-ball, basketball and cheer). Check out their fall programs- you can register now!
The kids were excited to launch rockets at the Dane County Engineering for Kids table. We love all the awesome opportunities Engineering for Kids offers kiddos. They have so many fun science-themed summer camps going on right now- a few openings still available!
Guests showed off their pearly whites at the Show Your Super Smile Photo Booth courtesy of Madison Smile Solutions. This dental practice, located on Odana Rd, is a favorite of the Madison Moms Blog team! They take great care of little ones!
The kids were so proud of their beautiful face art courtesy of Funny Faces Entertainment. We love this company- they provide great entertainment for events with little ones!
Raynbow Clown twisted balloons for the kids. Animals, swords… lots of fun accessories for the little ones to carry around.
Bam! Zap! Boom! Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman mingled with the guests! A special thanks to Dream Parties for providing the entertainment.
Attendees were able to explore squad cars, firetrucks and a med unit and meet local heroes (police, firefighters, and even a member of the K9 team!).
Celebrity Sighting! Maynard and the Madison Mallards players came by for some photos and high fives.
Families enjoyed sitting down in the shade and having a little Superhero Storytime courtesy of Madison Public Library.
Take us out to the ballgame! Once the pregame activities were over, attendees settled in for a Mallards game, armed with popcorn and drinks!
Each family received a swag bag chalk full of super swag. And what is a superhero event without capes? Every kid received a cape courtesy of Unity Point Health- Meriter.
Our giveaway raised $400 for Capes4Heroes, an awesome nonprofit that makes and personalizes superhero capes for kids with disabilities, kids with life threatening illnesses and kids who just need to feel empowered. Thanks to our below raffle sponsors!
A huge thanks to Tumbling Sparrow Photography for the beautiful event photos, and to the Mallards for being an awesome event venue!
Thanks to our swag, giveaway and event sponsors!
