The orchard sits on two sites in the middle of what once was a typical Norwegian-American dairy farm dating back to the early 1800’s. The farmhouse, dating to 1860, still remains and has sheltered our family since the orchard opened its doors in 1984. What isn’t composed of orchard is wetland, prairie, rolling fields, and woodlands.
In addition to wonderful fall fruit and cider, we provide our customers with a quiet place to enjoy nature, a harvest experience, and an escape from the pressure of fast-paced urban life. We are less than 10 minutes from Madison and a little over 1 hour from Milwaukee, yet visitors frequently express that they have “gotten away”.

Door Creek has the best apples! We have gone the last few years (several times throughout the season) and love it!

My family loves this apple orchard! Simple, no fuss, no extra expenses, fair prices. You can pick your own or (for more variety) pay a bit more for already-picked. The staff is very nice and make great suggestions for what apples are best for what uses. The only down side is that more people are realizing how awesome this one is and it gets a bit busier each year.
