TIPS FOR ENJOYING A FOOTBALL GAME WITH YOUR FAMILY AT CAMP RANDALL STADIUM

In Madison, many of us live for summer… but what comes next is pretty awesome too. Because in Wisconsin – fall and football are somewhat synonymous, and we love our Wisconsin Badgers!

1: Badger Bash:  Badger Bash is a special event that takes place 2.5 hours before kickoff of EVERY football home game! Just steps from Camp Randall Stadium at Union South, Badger Bash offers food, drinks and entertainment—indoors and out.

This event is FREE and open to the public, and it welcomes fans from the opposing teams, too.  The more, the merrier!

Badger Bash Features:
• UW-Madison Marching Band performance (approx. 1.5 hrs before kickoff)
• UW-Madison Spirit Squad performances
• Local celebrity emcees
• Fun & games
• Live music
• More than 100 fresh, hot food & cold beverage options

2: Badgerville: Badgerville is free and open to the public, the tailgate event presented by Johnsonville opens 2.5 hours before kickoff of each home game. Badgerville is located on Engineering Mall, located directly north and east of Camp Randall Stadium off Engineering Drive.

Badgerville features great food and beer available for purchase, live entertainment, an appearance by members of the UW Band and Bucky Badger, activities for kids, player autographs, and more!

3: Bag policy at Camp Randall Stadium: Must be a clear bag measuring 12x6x12; a one gallon clear plastic storage bag or a clutch measuring 4.5″x6.5″ or less. Diaper bags (with child) are permitted and subject to a thorough security inspection. When possible, they strongly recommend carrying diapers and non-medically necessary items for babies and young children in a clear bag.

4: Breastfeeding: Camp Randall provides private breastfeeding rooms for women needing to breast feed during the game. Please contact a Guest Services Staff Member or call 608-265-8676 on game day to be escorted to this location.

5: Lap Children: The Wisconsin Athletic Department will allow one lap child without charge when attending an event with a paying ticketed adult. The Athletic Department defines a lap child as any child less than 2 years of age. The child must be seated on the lap of the accompanying adult. Car seats are not allowed in the UW Athletic Facilities.

6: Homecoming Parade: This year’s Homecoming Parade will take place on Friday, October 6th at 6 p.m.! This annual parade includes everything you expect from UW: bands, Bucky, the Spirit Squad, family-friendly atmosphere, fun floats and more. With spirited events and activities for all Badgers to enjoy, we love this celebration!

7: Celebrate gameday at home with a party!: Here are some fun ideas for snacks and activities to have fun with the kids (and friends) while watching the game at home!

8: Football Bingo: Football Bingo is one of the best ideas to keep the kids entertained and involved in the game! You can find a printable and instructions here on The Shirley Journey.

9: Tour Camp Randall: Did you know that you could tour Camp Randall Stadium?! Tours at Camp Randall occur at four designated times: 9:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 2:30 p.m., except on Thursdays and Fridays before a home football game or during football practices. Click here for the tour request form. Such a fun family activity to get everyone extra pumped up for FOOTBALL SEASON!
