Here’s to SUMMER!
BadgerBots STEM Summer Camp

BadgerBots creates meaningful, messy, and memorable STEM experiences for kids. We know that hands-on exploration is the best way to build a deep connection—and that kids who are confident and competent in STEM will fare best in the future.
Our summer camps give kids the guidance, tools, and space they need to explore while growing their skills. Is your kid a tinkerer who wants to dive into how to make the best possible LEGO robot? A visionary who wants to create an entire video game world from scratch? A Minecraft enthusiast who wants to see what other Minecraft enthusiasts can do?
Our camps are week-long, half-day excursions into specific STEM topics: LEGO robotics, micro:bit, 3D printing, Minecraft, app and video game coding, and more. With three separate age groups (6–7, 8–9, and 10–12), each kid can get the focused instruction they need to succeed.
Camp Dates: June 19 – August 25, 2023 + BadgerBots East: July 10–August 25

Bethel Horizons

We understand how difficult navigating all of the choices of summer camp can be. You want your child to grow, learn and make real connections, while being safe, accepted and well cared for.
Bethel Horizons has been creating unforgettable summers for youth from Dane County and the surrounding communities for over 50 years. Through our summer camp programs, we provide an opportunity and a space that focuses on the social and emotional learning for our youth. The skills developed at summer camp help to provide children the necessary tools to become successful adults. Communication, collaboration, creativity, leadership and problem solving are all fostered in our natural environment.
Our overnight summer programs run Sunday – Friday from mid-June to mid-August. Your child will experience a variety of outdoor adventures including hiking, mountain biking, climbing, rappelling, swimming, paddling, singing by the campfire, playing games and connecting to one another in nature. Sibling, friend and multi week discounts available. All you have to do is choose your week of camp, register and pack. We’ll take care of the rest.
Located on 548 acres in Wisconsin’s beautiful Driftless area, Bethel Horizons, through its unique natural setting, fosters and inspires growth in the harmonies of God, self, others and nature. These harmonies promote community and renewal using summer camp, adventure programs, environmental education and the arts.

Mathnasium Math Learning Center

OVERCOME MATH LEARNING LOSS THIS SUMMER
The pandemic has had a major impact on everything, including our children’s math education. The limitations of school’s virtual learning platforms and reduced time spent in school have resulted in demonstrable math learning loss for many students.
Mathnasium of Madison Summer Programs are designed to overcome the challenges resulting from the pandemic and meet the needs of students by:
- Assessing each student’s current math skill set in order to identifying existing math concept gaps
- Developing summer math learning plans that will prioritize each student’s needs and target the most important skills / concepts
- Providing a structured curriculum which presents math concepts in a manner that children understand and then allowing students to get sufficient practice to master needed concepts
Mathnasium Summer Program students can access our talented Math Instructors in person at either our east side or west side locations or via our state-of-the-art online platform, Mathnasium @Home.
Summer program tutoring is available all summer, Mondays thru Fridays. Flexible scheduling enables students and families to work around vacations and other summer activities.
Call or email to learn more about a Mathnasium summer!

YMCA Summer Camps

Camp, like many Y programs, is about learning skills, developing character and making friends. But few environments are as special as camp, where kids become a community as they learn both how to be independent and how to be part of a team as they engage in physical, social and educational activities.
Camp teaches self-reliance and the development of attitudes and practices that build character and leadership — all amidst the fun of sports, theater, games, outdoor adventure, talent shows and meaningful relationships. Our state-licensed Y counselors are dedicated to making sure camp is an amazing experience for every camper!

So far our favorite camps has been with The Wisconsin Veterans Museum! My kiddo was lucky enough to experience the photojournalism camp at the museum when they offered it.
The stem camps are what I am looking to get my daughter into!
We have done MSCR and Keva. One thing I’d like to see mentioned is if they offer inclusion for kids with special needs. I’m excited by all these options and am excited to look into them!
Thinking about summer adventures and trying something new seems harder than just continuing on but for the sake of our mental health, it’s so important. Stay safe.
AmyJ: MSCR does offer inclusion for the programs we offer. Right now (of course) our capacity is greatly reduced because of CoVid 19.
