Hey friends! How are you doing? It’s definitely some very trying times and I hope you are hanging in there! Personally my days are pretty busy juggling this year’s school situation, work and life in general and I know that’s the case for most of you. But in the whole scheme of things, I can’t complain. During all of this one thing that gets me excited is fall. I love this season and I wanted to share a roundup of my some of favorite fall things.
1: Fall Candles
I can’t tell you how much I love candles. I especially adore fall scents that are outdoorsy. Here is a candle I really like for this season.
2: Puzzles
Last winter my husband and I realized how much we love to do puzzles. It’s my new favorite cold weather activity, especially in front of the fireplace! I love this National Park puzzle and I know my kids would love this one too!
3: A Favorite Soup Recipe
If you know me personally you know I’m obsessed with soup. That’s why I’m a fall girl, I miss it so much in the summer. This salmon chowder is so delicious and really easy to make. It tastes like it took much longer to make than it does.
4: Cute Fall Craft
I’ve always wanted to dip leaves in beeswax and I’m planning on doing it this year. I think this project is threefold. It will be fun for my kiddos to find the leaves, it allows us to preserve them & I think it can be a classic fall decor look I can get behind. Here’s the tutorial I plan on using.
5: Warm & Fuzzy Fleece
Everyone needs just a staple fleece in their wardrobe. I got this one a couple years back and it’s still going strong! Speaking of staples, I also in a strong believer in flannels. I really love this one!
6: Apple Orchard Muffins
I hope you take the time to go apple picking if you can. It’s one of my favorite activities to do with the family. Thankfully we have such a good selection of places to go in the Madison area. But even if you don’t, these apple orchard muffins are delicious no matter where you got your apples from.
This list includes small things or simples activities, but I’m really learning in life it’s the small things that can make a big difference, am I right? Also I hope it gets you all excited about this fall season and gives you something to look forward to in your day!
Can you share the salmon chowder recipe please? I don’t see a link to click on
