The idea of a baby shower for a first time mom is something that everyone is familiar with. There is no doubt that these new mamas have a need for…well…everything. From swings to onsies the registries are extensive because mama is starting from square one.
But, what about mothers who are expecting their second, third, or fourth baby?! It is obvious that every child is a gift and a blessing, therefore, a reason to be celebrated!  Baby sprinkles are really just a great excuse to get a group of your girlfriends together for a fun little party. They are meant to be a bit more low key and intimate than a shower, being fun and relaxed (less pressure for the host, guests and guest of honor)!
I happen to have several friends who are expecting their second babies this spring, so we have been busy attending lots of ‘sprinkles’. I threw a sprinkle for my friend last month and here are a few photos from the event. I like to have a theme, so I chose the theme, sprinkles! Since my friend doesn’t know if she’s having a boy or girl (those of you who keep it a surprise are awesome-I can’t handle the suspense!) it worked perfectly with gender neutral colors.
Invited to a sprinkle and not sure what to get? Some mothers register, while others choose not to. It can be tricky since this isn’t their first baby, but there are still tons of options. If you aren’t feeling super creative-think practical. Diapers, wipes and target gift cards always go a long way. If you are looking for something more fun, check out this post!
