A Healer’s Hand – Pregnancy and Postpartum Care through Massage, Physical Therapy, Workshops and Community Outreach

We are so excited to share that one of our very favorite Madison-area businesses has been nominated for Madison Magazine’s “Best of Madison” issue! A Healer’s Hand is nominated for best Speciality Spa for Pregnancy and Postpartum Massage! If you haven’t heard of A Healer’s Hand, we highly recommend checking them out for massage therapy, physical therapy, educational classes and workshops. They are a huge support to our local mom-community and a fantastic resource for expectant families.

At their beautiful downtown Madison location (shared with Red Sushi restaurant), they have several Licensed and Certified Prenatal Massage Therapists who have been extensively trained to offer full-body therapeutic pre and postnatal massage. Their expertise is focused on supporting and rebalancing the all-important pelvic girdle, concentrating on releasing the low back, hips, glutes and sciatic pain. Their therapists are skillfully trained to help facilitate pain-free pregnancies through continual prenatal massage, and to prepare expecting mothers for labor specifically at 38-40 weeks gestation with a Labor Preparation & Stimulation Massage. Then, following delivery, they offer mothers support through postpartum recovery massage  which can reset the hips and pelvis to a pre-pregnancy state.

In addition, A Healer’s Hand + The Nest also offer Physical Therapy through a mother/daughter team. These ladies specialize in women’s health, pelvic floor, pelvic girdle PT and visceral mobilization. They can help address issues such as imbalance and alignment and mobility issues in joints, muscles, organs, and soft tissues. Their goal is to provide a path for mothers to reclaim a strong, pain-free body during and after pregnancy. Postpartum consults, assessments, and education will also now be included in all Postpartum Recovery packages.

Here are a few words from the owner, Nicole Budeau, LMT, Certified Prenatal & Postpartum Massage Therapist and Instructor.

“This year, A Healer’s Hand + The Nest was nominated as Best of Madison’s Specialty Spa for Pregnancy & Postpartum Massage, and we are patiently waiting for the final round of voting to end, Oct. 31! We want to extend our gratitude to those of you who have continued to share our name as a resource for expectant families. Our mutual passion to serve our community of parents and children binds us all together. We reach out in hopes of  introducing ourselves to the parents and practitioners who we haven’t yet met, and to give voice to what we offer, both old and new. At A Healer’s Hand + The Nest we strive to be the place for pain free pregnancies and postpartum recovery, a Mother’s haven. We hope to see you soon!”
