BILLY GOATS GRUFF COMES TO OVERTURE CENTER THIS APRIL

Families are invited to enjoy a magical afternoon of storytelling when Billy Goats Gruff takes the stage at the Overture Center for the Arts on Saturday, April 11 at 3:00 p.m. Held in the Capitol Theater, this lively production brings three beloved children’s tales to life in one engaging, one-hour performance.

Presented by Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia, the show blends imaginative puppetry, humor, and heart – perfect for young audiences. Plan a memorable afternoon at the theater and introduce your children to the magic of live performance.

THREE CLASSIC STORIES, ONE FUN-FILLED PERFORMANCE

This production features fresh retellings of three timeless favorites:

Billy Goats Gruff
Three clever goats must outsmart a grumpy troll guarding the bridge to greener pastures.

Wolf vs. Pigs
A playful twist on The Three Little Pigs, where the resourceful pigs turn the tables on a sneaky wolf.

Goldilocks
A curious raccoon reimagines the classic Goldilocks and the Three Bears in a creative and entertaining way.

Designed especially for children ages 3 to 7, the performance runs 60 minutes with no intermission and concludes with an interactive question-and-answer session to keep young theatergoers engaged.

ACCESSIBLE AND FAMILY-FRIENDLY

This performance welcomes audiences of all ages. Lap seats are available for families attending with little ones.

Overture Center will also host a dedicated sensory area and interactive zone during the performance. This thoughtfully designed space offers both active and quiet sensory options, providing a comfortable environment before and during the show.
