THE BLOOMIN’ FARM COOPERATIVE: A place to visit for year-round family-fun
The Bloomin’ Farm Cooperative in Sun Prairie is transforming from a single-owner farm into a community-owned cooperative – giving local families the chance to help preserve it for generations to come.
FROM ONE OWNER TO COMMUNITY OWNERSHIP
Currently owned by Stan Hinkley, the farm is in the process of becoming a cooperative owned by up to 7,000 families across Dane County.
Families can pledge membership now. Once 4,000 pledges are reached, each pledged family will have the opportunity to invest $500 to officially become an owner and help purchase the farm. From there, membership can continue to grow.
The goal is simple: protect these 7.8 acres as a thriving, family-centered farm for the next 100 years.
FAMILY-FRIENDLY FUN
Bloomin’ Farm Cooperative is designed with families in mind. Kids can enjoy seeing ponies, sheep, and goats, while parents browse the onsite market featuring seasonal produce, local honey, baked goods, candles, and handmade items!

A UNIQUE MOTHER’S DAY GIFT
This year, the farm is expanding its popular flower program with a goal of giving away 700 flower vases.
In the spring, visitors can purchase a $21 gift certificate for a cut-your-own flower vase—typically valued at over $100. In the summer, families return to the farm to create their own bouquet from the flower fields.
Participants who allow a photo to be shared receive a $21 credit to use on a future visit toward produce or other items.
