This winter we are looking for ALL THE WAYS to be outside. We are seeking ways to stay active and to avoid cabin fever! You can see all of our winter content here. So bundle up and venture outside. If you haven’t been cross country skiing — it’s great exercise and also FUN!

Madison, WI Parks

Most of the parks in Madison, WI (with trails) can be used for cross-country skiing. Some parks require an annual or daily ski permit (Odana Hills, Yahara Hills and Elver Park). Passes are just $7 for a day pass and $30 for an annual pass.

Dane County Parks

The Madison Nordic Ski Club

The best way to explore! The Madison Nordic Ski Club provides monthly meetings, lessons, a race series, special activities for kids, day and weekend tours. They cross country ski throughout the Madison, WI area (including some of the parks listed above).
