Graduate Madison + Camp Trippalindee = Perfect Madison, WI Summer Staycation

(Madison, WI): With summer quickly approaching and with the strong desire for a change of scenery — a staycation can easily do that, without the same stress (or expense) of a vacation getaway. Madison has so much to offer – particularly in the downtown area, and sometimes a staycation is a great excuse to simply act like a tourist in your own town! Go on an adventure and do things you may not typically think to do as a native.

The Graduate Hotel (Downtown Madison, WI)

Graduate Madison is located just a block from the UW campus. It has an ideal setting, nestled alongside Lake Mendota (on historic Langdon Street). And it’s just around the corner from the Memorial Union Terrace! With close proximity to State Street and Capitol Square, Graduate Madison offers so much local charm.

The rooms are casual and collegiate-themed and offer free Wi-Fi, cable TV and mini fridges, as well as coffeemakers. Stylish suites add sitting areas with pull-out sofas. Amenities include: an airy rooftop bar/restaurant, a cafe and a 24-hour fitness room.

Graduate Madison has some really competitive rates — which makes it the perfect staycation destination!

Camp Trippalindee (Rooftop Bar at Graduate Madison )

In addition to lounging on the first floor patio, you can also head up to the rooftop bar and restaurant – Camp Trippalindee. At Camp Trippalindee you will find a summer camp-inspired rooftop bar, complete with ‘Boozy Capri Suns’. A couple new menu items also include Dunkaroo Dip and Adult Lunchables! Camp Trippalindee is family friendly and has always been a favorite spot for my husband and I to take the kids (year round). They are chock full with board games and mega sized games like Connect 4, Jenga and so on. The favorite menu item for my kids are the s’mores that you can cook at your own table! The ambience is laid back and my whole family loves it. Camp Trippalindee is inspired by 1980s camp movies, rural Wisco taverns and the all-out joy of being a kid.

They recently reopened and we can’t wait to get back! Theyare adhering to all Dane County guidelines for restaurants reopening – Graduate Cares is their commitment to the health and safety of guests and associates
