EXPLORE WISCONSIN ALL SUMMER LONG WITH THE NEW NATURE PASSPORT FROM ALDO LEOPOLD NATURE CENTER

It’s Officially Nature Passport Season!

Nature Passport Season Returns With New Adventures for Families

Families across the Madison area can get ready for another summer of outdoor fun as Nature Everywhere, formerly known as Nature Net, launches its refreshed Nature Passport for the season.

Designed to inspire children and families to explore nature together, the free Nature Passport encourages families to visit local destinations, complete nature-themed activities, and discover new outdoor adventures throughout the region.

What Is the Nature Passport?

The Nature Passport is a self-guided activity journal filled with creative prompts, hands-on exploration ideas, and nature missions. Families can use it while visiting participating Nature Everywhere locations, local parks, or even in their own backyards.

The Passport is designed to help children build a stronger connection with nature through curiosity, exploration, and outdoor play.

“We love seeing families use the Nature Passport as a reason to get outside, try something new, and make memories together,” said Betsy Parker, Executive Director at the Aldo Leopold Nature Center. “The refreshed Nature Everywhere Passport is packed with new adventures and opportunities to explore the incredible natural spaces and community partners throughout our region.”

Explore Favorite Madison-Area Destinations

This year’s Nature Passport includes a mix of indoor and outdoor destinations, making it easy for families to explore in any weather.

Participating locations include favorites such as the Madison Children’s Museum, Cave of the Mounds, the University of Wisconsin–Madison Arboretum, and Cherokee Marsh.

Each site offers families unique opportunities to experience nature, learn together, and explore the Madison area in a meaningful way.

Available in English and Spanish

Nature Passports are available in both English and Spanish and can be picked up at participating Nature Everywhere locations and local libraries throughout the Madison region.

About Nature Everywhere

Nature Everywhere is a program of the Aldo Leopold Nature Center that works to connect children, families, and educators with nature through community partnerships, accessible programming, and outdoor learning opportunities.

This year’s Nature Passport is offered free of charge thanks to support from Wild Birds Unlimited, the UW–Madison Latin American, Caribbean, and Iberian Studies Program, and printing support from Images Plus.
