75 student from France and Spain
For Summer 2023, WESLI – Wisconsin ESL Institute is welcoming 75 junior students from France and Spain to the Madison area.
These 13-17 year old students will be staying for 2-3 weeks while they study English every day and participate in culturally immersive activities daily.
- French Camp A (2 weeks, 30 students) May 28 – June 11
- French Camp B (2 weeks, 30 students) June 11 – June 25
- Spain Camp (3 weeks, 15 students) June 26 – July 15
Impact Your Children’s Mindset About the World
Homestay hosts will have the opportunity to share language and culture while welcoming students short-term into your family experience. This experience can impact your children’s growing mindset about the world and their future. Experience another culture right in your own home!
Share Your Unique American Experience
Student and hosts will interact the most in the mornings before classes, evenings, and weekends. Invite them along on your weekend summer excursion and share your unique American experience.
WESLI also hosts adult students, which also need homestay placements. As a host, you can list your preferences for adult or junior students and for short or long-term students.

WESLI is an English school for international students – both juniors and adults. We’ve been a local, independent ESL school since 1981. And as any parent can imagine, knowing your child is safe with a local family is essential.

Placements start soon for Summer 2023! To apply as a host, you will need to complete the application, a background check, and a home visit. This process can take between 2-4 weeks. Stipends included for hosts as we recognize the cost and responsibility of taking care of a junior student.
