Since moving into our first home over 5 years ago, we have painted a lot of rooms.  We have acquired an insane amount of paint chips in the process. Decisive I have never been!  I need options, lots of options.
A few months ago I stumbled across some paint chip art on pinterest inspiring my next little super-easy art project.
So here’s what I did.  A while ago I purchased this Martha Stewart punch on clearance.  I figured this was a great opportunity to put it to use.
I next assembled my paint chips and began punching (paint chips that is– no one was injured during this project). I decided to go with a blue theme to make some art for the entry way in our blue guest room.
After a few nights of punching paint chips in front of the TV (real housewives, anyone?), then came the fun part – assembling the paint chips. There was no system here – just trying to get some variation with the colors.
Once I liked my overall pattern, I simply mod podged them down and voila – another free art project for the walls of our guest bedroom.
I already had the blue frame hanging in the guest room so this project cost me absolutely nothing. While I may spray paint the frame white in the future, for now I am liking the blue.
I still think the frame needs a little something else, like a big initial or a picture or something. Â But so far I am happy with how it looks.
Have you every used leftover paint chips for a project?
