When my family first moved to Madison 5 years ago – one of the most important questions I needed to find out was… where do I find the BEST pizza in town? My family is a Friday night pizza kinda family! Every. single. Friday. There are a number of good places in the area, but The Roman Candle continues to be one of my family’s favorites!
They now have FIVE locations throughout the Madison area, along with delivery. They even have a pop up in the Madison Children’s Museum. Now that’s what I call a win/win!

Now back to the pizza – it’s savory, unique, original AND most importantly delicious! With unique flavors and toppings there is something for everyone (even the vegetarian… like myself!) or the meat lover (my husband), the vegan and the gluten-free. They literally have something to satisfy everyone – kids included!
If you are one who likes to dine in – rest assured that they are very family friendly! My family has dined at the Middleton location with our (young) children multiple time and it’s always been stress free and usually ends with ice cream (yup, they have that, too!) Or maybe you prefer to hit it up with your girlfriends or for a much deserved date night – then you should head to the new Monroe Street location where they have a full bar. We recommend going on Tuesday when they have half off bottles of wine or $2 off glass (ALL DAY!)
It doesn’t end with pizza – my girlfriends and I dined at the Monroe Street location last month and also enjoyed their salads and appetizers. Salad, appetizer, pizza AND wine… perfect girls night out!
