(Madison, WI): My family loves doing staycations in the winter. A staycation is a fun way to feel like you are on ‘vacation’ without leaving your own city.
The hotels we are sharing below all have indoor pools – please call to make sure the pool is fully open. Our favorite thing is to check in, go for a swim, unwind in the room, grab some takeout from a local restaurant, play a game, swim again, watch a movie… go to bed. Wake up, eat breakfast and go for another swim and then head home! It’s inexpensive, safe and fun.
