Something I say quite often and hear from other parents as well is “Children are much more likely to eat food they helped prepare”. It’s not always practical (or easy) to have children help in the kitchen and it almost always results in a whole lot of mess. But the mess can be worth it at times. Making a family meal together once a week or even once a month is a great way to spend family time together and get kids in the kitchen. Today, I am sharing recipes for a family meal designed for children to help prepare. In fact, we made these exact recipes in one of my Petite Chefs cooking class last year. Children between the ages of 5 and 12 made these meals to take home and share with their family. I loved seeing their faces full of pride to have made an entire meal. So make a family meal this week and come back and tell me how it turned out!
