Back to School Breakfasts

Slide1

It’s almost time to send our children back to school, preschool, playgroups or other activities. The days have begun to get shorter and soon the early morning wake-up times will be before the sunrise. My girls are not exactly what you would call “morning people”. They need their time to slowly wake-up, get dressed, complain about what they are wearing, throw a fit, change clothes multiple times, brush teeth, drop tooth brush in toilet, hug each other, yell at each other, get their hair brushed, cry about getting hair brushed…you know the basics.

Needless to say there isn’t a lot of time for breakfast in the morning on days we have to be out of the house early. Now that my oldest is starting Kindergarden and won’t be getting anything else to eat until lunch I feel even more compelled to provide healthy and filling meals that will start the day right. Here are some of my favorite recipes that are either quick to make or easy to make the night before and have ready to go for morning. Best wishes for healthy, happy and (hopefully) tear-free mornings!
