Held on select Sunday evenings throughout the summer, Camp Aldo Evenings capture the nostalgia and fun of summer camp while creating a relaxed, welcoming experience for all ages. Guests can enjoy live music, local food and drinks, hands-on activities, lawn games, and sunset adventures through the Nature Center’s beautiful prairie and woodland trails.

Whether you’re planning a family outing, a date night, or simply looking for an excuse to spend more time outside, these community events offer a chance to experience the Nature Center in a whole new way.

What to Expect

Each Camp Aldo Evening features a mix of outdoor fun and seasonal activities, including:

Learn about seasonal plants and their traditional uses during a guided foraging experience. Participants will explore the prairie, discover edible and medicinal plants, and even create a nature-inspired tea while connecting with fellow outdoor enthusiasts.

Rocket Launch Fun

August 16, 2026 | 5–8 p.m.

Wrap up the summer with an evening of hands-on discovery and outdoor fun. Families can enjoy camp-inspired activities, community connections, and one final summer adventure before the school year begins.
