The StoryWalk® book is: ‘Everybunny Dance!’ words and illustrations by Ellie Sandall

If you haven’t done a story walk yet — it’s such a fun way to get out and be active with your kids. This book and posters will be on display until 4/25/22.

How To StoryWalk®

To read the story in order, they recommend folks start at the Downtown Madison Visitor Center at 452 State St. Families will walk up State St from there and make their way around the Capitol Square to Madison Children’s Museum, the final location of the story. The stops for the story are labeled in numerical order on the map below.

Having a StoryWalk® Adventure is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

  1. Download the reading prompts pdf click here!
  2. Head downtown and find the first page – located at 452 State St.
  3. Read the pages with your little one and ask them a question from the prompts – at the first stop you could ask them to count the number of bunnies with spots.
  4. Find the next set of pages and use another prompt or head to the next set of pages. At the second stop you could ask your little one to show you how they thinks bunnies dance!
  5. Repeat #4 until you reach the end!

There are 15 stops in total. It is all walkable, though, some friends way want to take breaks along the way. Luckily, there’s many fun places to stop along the way and great options for lunch or snack too!
