Downtown Madison Seasonal Lighting Ceremony

Thursday, November 18 | 4pm 

During the November Night Market, downtown Madison will shine bright. Enjoy live music, and shop a variety of market vendors and downtown stores. Then join near the Wisconsin State Capitol as all holiday lights turn on simultaneously at 6:08 p.m.

Downtown Middleton

November 20 | 4:00pm

Each year, Middleton community members gather ’round for the annual city tree lighting — which takes place at City Hall, 7426 Hubbard Ave., Middleton.

4 p.m.: Begin at the Middleton Area Historical Society and Rowley House Museum (7410 Hubbard Ave., Middleton) for popcorn and cider

North Pole Party at Hilldale

November 21 | 3pm-7pm

Kick off the Holiday season at Hilldale with Reindeer Games and Tree Lighting Event.  Featuring a visit from Santa and a few of his reindeer, kids crafts, carolers and a preview of Black Friday shopping deals.

7th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting at The Edgewater

November 26 | 2pm-7pm

Kick off the season with Santa, Mrs. Claus and several special guests. Outdoor events will begin at 2pm and the trees will be lit at 6pm with Santa & Mrs. Claus.

Event is free and open to the public, food and beverage will be available for purchase.

Light the Ice in Monona

November 27, 6-7pm

Monona’s RiverRink transforms into a winter wonderland with 10,000 lights strung on a 20-foot-tall tree. Join for the tree lighting, plus light displays, hot chocolate and ice skating.

Drive In Chanukah Ceremony at Hilldale 

November 30, 4:15-5:30pm

This year’s Menorah lighting at Hilldale will be a drive-in ceremony at sundown. Attendees will park behind Macy’s and enjoy messages, videos and music on a larger-than-life screen.

Wisconsin Capitol Holiday Tree Lighting

December 3, Noon-1pm

Join inside the Capitol Rotunda for an hour-long presentation with remarks from the Governor and music from a youth choir. Learn where this year’s giant tree is from, and see the ornaments created by kids from across Wisconsin.


Tree Lighting + Caroling with Santa in Oregon

December 3 | 5:30-8:30pm

Santa rides into town on a firetruck to light Oregon’s holiday tree. Afterward, head to the local fire station for a chili dinner and photos with Santa.

Waunakee Light the Night 

December 3 | 6:30

The light parade and Santa will come down Main Street at 6:30pm. Rotary lights, downtown shopping and more!

Downtown Sun Prairie Fire & Lights Holiday Parade

December 4 | 5:30-8pm

Firetrucks dress in their holiday best as they lead the parade to a tree-lighting celebration with Santa.

Holiday Tree Lighting in New Glarus 

December 4 | 6:30pm

Their daily Adventsfenster window will be revealed, followed by a tree lighting. Visit the Depot for treats and enjoy music from carolers and the holiday alphorns.

Cottage Grove | Christmas in the Grove

December 2-5

Light up the Grove kicks off Thursday December 2 at Drumlin Reserve. Drive thru their light display at 139 E. Reynolds St. on Thursday from 5pm-7pm and receive a festive goodie bag and a Light up the Grove Map provided by Drumlin Reserve!  Santa will be there to send you off on the light tour! View contestants’ light displays all weekend long!

Visit with Santa! Monona Bank (341 W Cottage Grove Rd) 3:30-6pm.

Holiday Parade of Lights – 7PM -Begins at Cottage Grove Elementary and heads west on Cottage Grove Road to Sandpiper Trail.

Holiday Tree Lighting – Bank of Sun Prairie – following the parade.

Chocolate Walk – Following the tree lighting. Walk around the Market Place Shopping Center and stop in participating businesses for a chocolate treat!

Victorian Holiday Weekend in Stoughton

December 2-5

Stoughton’s weekend-long holiday celebration is overflowing with old-world charm. The annual lighting of the Love light Tree kicks off a weekend of music, artisanal shopping, local food and more.

December 7-9

5 pm – Annual Tree-Lighting Ceremony with CBS’s Weatherman Gary “Indiana” Cannalte! Enjoy carolers and the arrival of Santa on the Fire Truck!

5:30 pm – 5 Alarm Chili Dinner from the Verona Fire Department at the Verona Senior Center (right next to Central Park). Includes visits with Santa (great photo-op!), crafts for the kids and community fellowship!

The Verona Lion’s Club present “Saturday with Santa” at State Bank of Cross Plains in Verona

Fitchburg’s Holiday Lights Tour returns with animated sculptures, interactive displays, lights and holiday décor. A map with locations will be released closer to the event.

Zoo Lights | Henry Vilas Zoo

Zoo Lights is open from 5:30pm – 9:00pm Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between November 26 – December 30. It takes approximately one hour to walk through the whole Zoo and see all the lights.

  1. If you get to the East Side of Madison. Our display is pretty nice. It’s the biggest it’s been so far and we have a steady flow of people every night. 2926 Sachs Street just off N Marquette St

  2. We have a large blow mold display. 3766 Sunburst Rd. Madison. About a mile from American Family Insurance. American Parkway turns into Rattman Rd at 4 way stop. Then 2nd development on the left at top of hill. There is another large display farther down on Rattman Rd.
