  1. Brat Fest May 24-26… after all it IS the world’s LARGEST!
  2. Concerts on the Rooftop at Monona Terrace – May 30-July 25!
  3. Cows on the Concourse on June 1 – Enjoy the live music, tasty food, fun games, and real, live cows as you peruse the Dane County Farmers Market!
  4. Isthmus Jazz Fest – June 7-16! 
  5. Head to Wisconsin Brewing Company — bring your dinner and listen to live music!
  6. Indulge in some Babcock Dairy ice cream at the Memorial Union Terrace 
  7. UW Arboretum: So many different ways for your children to explore and learn about nature. Plus, another great picture opportunity for the budding photographers.
  8. Take the kids on a tour of Sassy Cow Creamery!
  9. Henry Vilas Zoo – check out a Zoovie!
  10. Plan a day trip to Cave of the Mounds.
  11. Another great day trip: Sandy Beach (Lake Mills)
  12. Summer Fest (okay, so not technically here in Madison – but it’s a short drive to Milwaukee and Summer Fest is known around the world!) – June 26-July 7
  13. Take in a Concert on the Square, every Wednesday at 7pm from June 26-July 31! 
  14. Bike Riding – Madison offers trails galore. Load up the bikes (and the kids) and ride bikes while seeing the sites.
  15. Take the family to a Highway 18 Drive-In movie.
  16. Go see some animals at Haven’s Petting Farm and Eugster’s Farm
  17. Take in the Blooming Butterflies exhibit at the Olbrich Botanical Gardens from July 18-August 11
  18. Go for a hike at Picnic Point… don’t forget to a pack yourself a picnic lunch!
  19. Fly high over Madison – take a private, scenic plane ride over our city!
  20. Paddle Boat or Canoe on Lake Wingra or go sailing on Lake Mendota.
  21. Visit as many parks as you can (check one off your list each week!)
  22. Walk around the Farmers Market – Madison has an abundance of awesome markets – including at least one each day of the week!
  23. Grab a drink in the beer garden at Capital Brewery.
  24. Spend the day at Little Amerricka Amusement Park!
  25. Art Fair on the Square is on July 13-14 this year!
  26. Play a round of mini golf at Vitense Mini Golf.
  27. Have a water balloon fight in the backyard!
  28. Swim in a lake or pool – or check out a splash pad in the Madison area!
  29. Start a Lemonade Stand.
  30. Get some ice cream on State Street – Calliope & The Chocolate Shoppe are Madison musts!
  32. Head to Milwaukee for a Brewers game (only an hours drive!)
  33. Go to Story Time at the library or sign up for a Summer Reading Program.

  36. Potato Donuts and fresh fruit from the Farmers Market – grab a blanket and enjoy on the capitol lawn (bring bubbles!)

  46. Head to see some 4th of July Fireworks as they light up the sky!

  48. Take the family out to the ballgame at a Madison Mallards minor league game!
  49. Make your own Popsicles
